| since i still get a few comments and i love this song i figure i'll update. school basketball is finally over and it feels great and i'm a lot happier overall now, this season was just gay in every aspect. so now i have cap 3 days a week, go to plc to lift and shoot, workout w/ vic, and go to practice. our team (victor's -- aau) is lookin pretty good, practices are hard so that's a change, but it's so much more fun and i love getting to be a leader. school is fine, actually have time to study now.. i love this time of year, tornado season and great weather before it gets hot, aau basketball, actually have free time, don't feel crammed all the time, it's great. everything with friends is fine, no girls like usual but i don't put myself out there too much so i only have myself to really blame, not that anyone would exactly jump on the opportunity if i did, lol i mean there's times when i really wish i had someone to hold and others i don't care as much, but i think we're all like that to some degree. but, my time will come... i know my patience will pay off
it's amazing how you knock me off my feet everytime you come around me i get weak
although we may be 1,000 miles apart, i'll be with you wherever you are :)

| i know no one reads this anymore, but it's still a good way to get a few thoughts out here and there. things have been good... about two more weeks of basketball which is very good. this season has been gay, varsity is 5-11, it's been frustrating, the only highlight is jv has done so well, and i feel like i'm still gettin better everyday, and despite everything have become a better player a possibly a better person cuz of what i had to go through, so we'll see
speaking of basketball i'm pretty much getting my first varsity chance tonight cuz adam got suspended, i'm nervous to say the least, this is my chance to prove myself to people, i have confidence in myself
confident, not cocky
there's a difference

| Hey, well it's morning so I won't say much
Lost to South, haha that first game back from being so sick was a kicker, hopefully my legs are back to full strength by Monday, cuz not being full strength is just adding to the long list of frustrations right now
Things have been alright lately, I doubt I'd care if this season ended right now, it's just gay, I just want next season to come already so I can be starting. But I've still got everything w/ Victor to look forward to, a few tourneys here, tournament in Houston in April, Jayhawk Invitational at KU in May, Vegas in July, and others. Other then basketball.. things with friends are decent, don't get to see them much during season... grades are good... my math and the PE coaches are out to end my life..after they catch Darby first..haha
Yeah. So much for that one thing I guess?
I'll be faithful, I'm for real We've been too strong for too long, And I can't be without you baby And I'll be waitin' up until you get home 'Cuz I can't sleep without you baby
It's not that I don't like you, I'm just not quite there yet I'm still a little skeptical, and you can't blame me for that | | |
| DUKE TRIP
Saturday January 8, 2006 Plane left at about 8:30, layover in Nashville, even saw Catie which was crazy. Got to Durham about 3:30. We decided to walk around Duke campus for awhile, which was great. It's a huge, spread out campus -- especially for only 6,000 students. So we went to the student union and the bookstore.. then we walked to Cameron Indoor.. only the best stadium in college basketball. Of course I'm dying to get in, but as we figured the doors were locked. Then we found a way through the Duke Sports Hall of Fame.. and the connector to Cameron was wide open. So we sneak into the arena and there it is. It was incredible. I was in awe for at least 20 minutes. I sat down and tried to take it all in. The place was so small -- after all it only seats 9,000. Somehow me and dad are the only ones in the whole place. I couldn't have asked for a better way for one of my dreams to come true. So we stayed in there and checked out everything -- the floor, the "Cameron Indoor Stadium" sign on the side, the media room, the banners, the 3 national championship trophies, everything. It was unbelievable. So of course we took about 100 pictures -- of the place, and of me there.. wow. To run around on the same floor that Hurley, Hill, Dawkins, Laettner, Battier, Brand, REDICK, Williams, Duhon, and others have played on... to stand at the same free throw line that JJ stands at every game -- just seeing it all in person made it so much more real to me, and it gave me this extremely new sense of motivation for me to someday get there.
Sunday January 9, 2006 We go back to Duke again for a little bit, then we headed up to Chapel Hill. Couldn't find any way into the Dean Dome -- just could see parts of everything through the windows. It seemed like the Georgia Dome after visiting Cameron. After that we drove up to Winston-Salem to see Wake.. very cool campus. Then we went to Jeff's house and watched the football games and ate. At about 6 we headed up to Joel for the actual game. Right when we got there we went down courtside and stood on the baseline and watched Duke warm up for about 45 minutes -- my first time seeing all these guys in person. It was awesome being so close to all the guys and all that. Everyone was hating on JJ like usual. Then of course the actual game was just great -- center court suite and everything -- although a little crowded, I did get to sit with probably the only other Duke fans in the building. JJ didn't disappoint -- 32 points, 19 in the first half. The guy is just unreal. Final Score: Duke 82 Wake Forest 64. So, no autographed jersey or anything, but I think the memories from those 2 days are worth a lot more than any autograph. What a trip -- thanks dad... it was awesome. And of course all the Wake guys were hatin on me after the game and sayin a bunch of crap -- but what can they say? #1, 14-0 (2-0) Sorry if it seems like I'm "bragging" about all this, but I think most of you know that this was quite literally heaven on earth for Justin...lol.
I'll remember all this forever, I promise you that. There's just passion like no other in college basketball and I love being right in the middle of it.
And also, thanks to whoever sliced my tire. Real cool and very mature.
And of course, back to school and seminary tomorrow. Blah.
Tomorrow @ LFS Friday @ SMS

| So, New Years was alright, kinda scary, kinda hard in some ways too.. but the first 5 days of '06 have gone well.
Haha. You make me laugh. A lot.
Well my aunt with breast cancer is doing good, she has her second round of chemo next week, but so far she's doing great so that's really good news.
Plane leaves Saturday morning, so I'll be in Raleigh-Durham from Sat.-Mon....Saturday we're goin to Duke, North Carolina, NC State, and Wake's campuses so that'll be tight, then of course the big game at Wake, Sunday night at 8, so pumped. My Dukies are still #1, 13-0 (1-0). Haha wow talk about dream of a lifetime..
Home game tomorrow v. SMNW so everyone come.
